Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect when you look for a job or apply on this site, how we use it, and your choices. HeavyCraft recruits for construction employers.

What we collect when you apply

When you apply for a job or join the talent pool, we collect:

  • Your name, phone number and email address.
  • Your trade and years of experience.
  • The certifications and licenses you list in your own words.
  • Any certificate files you attach. Attachments are optional.
  • When you can start.
  • Whether you agreed to receive texts about jobs.
  • The job you applied for, or that you joined the talent pool.

What we collect automatically

When you browse this site we collect the pages you view, your browser and device type, an approximate location based on your IP address, and the campaign tags in the link you clicked. The campaign tags tell us which ad or post brought you here.

We use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and applications. These tools set cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Contact you about the jobs you applied for, including a short screening call or text.
  • Send your application to the employer for the role you applied for.
  • Keep you in the talent pool and contact you about similar roles, if you joined it.
  • Send you texts about jobs, only if you ticked the text box.
  • Measure how the site performs and which campaigns bring applications.
  • Meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your information.

How applications are reviewed

We review applications with structured interviews. Our software flags patterns in your answers, such as reliability, follow-through and fit. A recruiter reviews every application and makes every decision. No automated system decides who gets hired.

Who sees your information

We share your information only with:

  • Our recruiters, who need it to do their work.
  • The employer for a role you applied for, when we put you forward for that role.
  • Service providers that run this site: hosting (Vercel), the applicant tracking system that stores applications (not chosen yet), analytics (Google Analytics and Meta), and the text message provider used for SMS.
  • Government agencies or courts, when the law requires it.

Text messages

Texts are optional. The text box is unticked by default. If you tick it, we may text you about jobs that match your application. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your application, including any attachments. You can also ask to be removed from the talent pool. Email info@heavycraft.com and we will respond.

How long we keep it

We keep applications and attachments for as long as they are needed to fill roles and meet our record-keeping duties.
